Darwin Swimming Club is the oldest established Swimming Club in the Northern Territory.  We started swimming in 1960 when Parap Swimming Pool was opened and haven’t looked back since.

Our logo is the water buffalo, a traditional logo for all ‘Darwin’ Clubs which has been modified to the smiling buffalo we use today and wilst not easily linked to swimming it has a long heritage in Darwin, Northern Territory.

We cater for a wide variety of swimmers, from kids fresh from learn-to-swim classes to swimmers competing at national competitions and everything in between.  The club has a fun and supportive atmosphere, which is enhanced by Saturday morning team breakfasts, club nights, and great team management and morale at swimming meets.

With the exception of coaching, all club duties are undertaken by volunteers.  Some of the older swimmers (10-18+) also get involved at the 9 and Under swimming meets, but volunteering for technical and support roles like time keeping and marshalling.
